When I was asked to tell a little about myself, I find it to be a little difficult at times because at least for me I have a hard time determining where to start, so I will start at the beginning. I was born on September 22, 1966 to Elijah and Elver Williams in Washington, D.C. As a conversation piece, I can say that I lived the first three years of my life in S.E. Washington, D.C. but of course I have very little recollection of that period of my life since I was a newborn to three years old. The majority of this existence however has been spent in Maryland and currently my family and I live in Accokeek, Maryland.
I spent the majority of my grade school years at Fort Dupont Park Seventh Day Adventist School (K - 5th grade) and the rest of my elementary through high school education was spent in public schools (i.e. Ritchie Elementary, Surrattsville Jr. High and Central Senior High). When I graduated from high school in 1984, I left my parents home (in District Heights, MD) and moved to Brooklyn, NY, where I lived for three years while attending Brooklyn College. It is there where I decided that I needed a change, and in 1987 I enlisted in the Navy where I spent a total of 9 years, most of which was in the reserves. Although I didn’t finish college while I was in Brooklyn, I believe it was GOD’s way of showing me both sides of the education argument because He enabled me to realize success without a degree. However, in 2005 I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems at Strayer University and just this past year (2011) I earned my Master’s in Project Management from George Washington University. I am currently in a Masters program at Northcentral University where I am scheduled to earn a MBA (Management of Engineering and Technology) degree in December 2014.
